The Olympus 12-50mm Lens, is it really all that bad

The 12-50mm is the slightly higher end kit lens from Olympus, extending from 24mm to 100mm in 35mm terms. Since getting my OMD in August I have grown to love mine and it is by far my most used lens out on the street.

OK its seen as being a little slow but I have forgiven Olympus for this, in whole there is a whole lot to like and used with care it’s a very capable performer.

This lens has seen a fair bit of bad press, I would love to read your views, is there really a lot to dislike ?
